GARDEN OF SURPRISES BURGHLEY & ADVENTURE PLAYGROUND

The Garden of Surprises is a beautiful scenic trip out with so much to explore. We particularly love the mirror maze, picnics by the lake and the elements sculptures.

There is now a great children’s play area with a den making area, sensory elements, a smaller toddler play frame and a big adventure playground for older children.

Cost‑ Varies the Annual passes usually work out cheapest if you are going to return.

The grounds around Burghley House are free to access and are lovely to walk around. Often you can spot the deer and sheep.

Stamford Meadows is a perfect spot to feed the ducks and lots of big open space to run about in or kick a ball about.

BYTHAMS SPINNEY

This place has a lovely little playground in the woodlands. There are some bigger slides and play equipment for older children. We really liked looking for birds in the ‘treehouse’. There are lots of picnic benches dotted around we will definitely be back on a nicer day for a picnic.
Worth mentioning that there are no toilets or baby change on the site.

The Recreation Ground in the middle of Stamford has a lovely playground.
